About the farm:
Located in the Matas de Minas area of Minas Gerais, Brazil, the Araponga region is known for its rich biodiversity, mountainous landscapes, and ideal coffee-growing conditions. This region plays a key role in Brazil’s coffee industry, supporting thousands of jobs and producing beans celebrated for their flavour complexity and quality.
Araponga’s farmers use traditional manual techniques, cultivating coffee at altitudes of 950 to 1,400 meters. The result is consistently high-quality beans, including those used in this EA (ethyl acetate) decaf, a natural process that preserves the coffee’s original character while removing caffeine.
Araponga’s commitment to excellence was highlighted by an outstanding performance at the 2017 Cup of Excellence, and the region continues to gain global recognition for both its specialty coffees and its exceptional EA decaf offerings.
